Specialised personal care physiotherapy for elderly patients in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney
Call Shaun Beattie Physiotherapy on 0418 126 485 for an assessment
Over the last 20 years I have worked across most aspects of physiotherapy and I still practice in a broad range of areas like musculoskeletal and sports medicine. However my interest and career direction was in aged care and rehabilitation.
These days my main focus is providing a mobile physiotherapy service to the elderly with the personal care and attention I would give my own parents. Most of my clients prefer the convenience of being treated in their own home, although sometimes we travel to gyms, pools or parks.
I manage a small team that includes other physiotherapists and exercise physiologists, but when you ring the number, I answer the phone.
EXPERIENCED
After studying at Latrobe University in Melbourne, I have worked the best part of two decades in private practice, public and private hospitals, rehabilitation centres and aged care facilities across Sydney, delivering a diverse range of physiotherapy services, specifically designed for older patients.
DEDICATED
I am a Member of the Gerontology Special Interest Group with the Australian Physiotherapy Association. I previously worked with the Mark Moran Group to design a physiotherapy program which was a finalist in the Active Ageing category at the 2014 Ageing Asia Awards in Singapore.
